this evening we played disc golf with some friends at mills park in gatlinburg. for those of you who've never heard of disc golf, i'll explain. discs are a lot like frisbees. the main differences, as far as i can tell, are the weight, size, and lip on all the different types of discs: drivers, mid-range, putters, etc. in this sense they are much like having a bag of golf clubs. i personally use a shark. i don't know what tyoe of disc that is, but that is the only one that i can throw decently. i am not able to adjust to the different types of discs for different types of throws. anyhow, our friend patrick threw a hole-in-one on the 4th hole. it was amazing! the disc disappeared behind some trees and emerged out of nowhere and straight into the basket. CHING! oh right, so i forgot to explain thats the point of the game, to throw the disc into these baskets. there are typically 9 holes like golf.
speaking of which, we also played mini golf last night with these friends and she got a hole-in-one on the 16th hole, which was unbelievable. on this particular hole, you couldn't see the hole from the tee. and the best part of it was that it was glow in the dark. however, it seemed kinda shady. when we finally thought we had got through the course without some scary clown showing up, one did when we were on the last hole.
it's been an eventful weekend already. my nephew had a soccer game this morning that he dominated. he impressed me with his dribbling, shooting and most of all his passing. i'm lovin it.
